Mr. Nathan Blodgett joined Christopher Columbus Charter School in 2019 and proudly serves as the principal of the CCCS. As principal, Mr. Blodgett places safety as the highest priority for all learners and aims to develop the whole child each day at CCCS. He also values the home-school connection and the partnership of our strong community in Philadelphia. He aims to be a visible presence for students, staff, and the community.
Prior to coming to CCCS, Mr. Blodgett had spent the previous eighteen years in the School District of Philadelphia, both as a teacher in grades 2 and 3, middle school social studies, and then as a climate manager in several schools.
Mr. Blodgett earned his undergraduate degree in U.S. History from Union College (NY) , a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Temple University, and a School Leadership Certification from Chestnut Hill College.
Mr. Blodgett resides in Harrison Township, NJ with his wife and two children. In addition to being a lifelong learner, he enjoys soccer, basketball, fishing, golf, and cheering on all Philadelphia sports teams.
